Wednesday of the Second Week in Ordinary Time - Pray For A Steady Hand

Batman needed the Joker.

Superman needed Lex Luthor.

David needed Goliath.

If you have obstacles in your life today see them as opportunities to follow the Lord's will and grow as you overcome them.

Today's reading from 1 Samuel we see David had a steady hand as he slung the stone at Goliath.

Today's Psalm 144, "Blessed be the Lord, my rock." praises the Lord "who trains my hands for battle, my fingers for war."

In the Gospel we read the story of Jesus healing the withered hand of the man in the synagogue. (The man being in the synagogue tells us he had faith.)

Isn't it beautiful the way the Old Testament ties to the Psalms, which tie to the Gospels? It's almost as if they were... inspired by God! :-)

You, too, should be inspired by God. He will give you the steady hand you need to accomplish your goals if you follow in His footsteps and pray for His guidance and do His will.

Go get 'em!

Keep the faith.
