Community At The Intersection Of Catholicism & Capitalism

Hi everyone – I was reading an interesting blog the other day (see below for link) about breathing.  We don’t breathe enough – doesn’t that sound silly?  We all breathe all day long, but the blog author had another take on it.  He said that when used in specific ways, breathing allows us to release and resolve emotions, belief systems, stresses and memories which are often inaccessible through the more conventional talking therapies.  He said breathing acts as a bridge between spirit (soul), mind and body and a bridge between subconscious and conscious.

What Does Breathing Have to Do With Praying the Rosary?

When I pray the rosary out loud I breathe deeper, steadier and stronger.  I have to because I am talking, but what I realize is that I am taking deep breaths once in awhile and the only other time I do this is when I am exercising!  Maybe this author’s on to something as I think about exercising or praying the rosary. Perhaps the breathing part is better for you than we ever realized! The breathing is bringing in more oxygen that you usually get and it has more health benefits than we ever realized!  When God created us He gave us breath.  I had a good friend tell me one day that we get all our information from God through breathing.  When we meditate, we concentrate on our breath and in doing so we stop the constant chatter in our minds and allow all kinds of wonderful things come into our lives.  Maybe that is why I find praying the rosary so necessary in my life.  It’s not just a faith and a peace that passes understanding as much as a “space” in my mind that opens and allows in the “light of God”.  I believe this wholeheartedly that praying the rosary and meditating are absolutely necessary for peace, happiness, joy, stillness, grace, gratitude, forgiveness and unconditional love to come into reality for our very own lives.  We bring the whole world into us, and blow our essence out to the universe! It is a perfect exchange.

Get Free For a Few Minutes and Pray the Rosary!

I know it’s so hard to make time during the Christmas season to make time to breathe and pray the rosary, but it is so important to connect with God.  After all, we Christians are celebrating the birth of Jesus!  Praying the rosary centers us amongst all this hubbub of preparing and grounds us in order to breathe and pray and send our essence of God’s grace.  Dust off your rosary and sit down in quiet environment and use it to the Glory of God!
