Last week a fellow instructor, where my husband is a professor, suffered the loss of a nephew who died in Afghanistan.  This was devastating news as this man and his wife also suffered the loss of their own son 10 years ago in a car accident.  Since this couple had some idea of how to proceed with a funeral, they were asked by the young soldier’s family to do all the planning and arrangements for the service and burial of their son who died in military action.   This couple did go ahead and…
